Natividad Virus

Subject: Outlook Express 4 Windows: Natividad Virus

*******************************************************

TODAY'S eTIP(tm): Natividad Virus A Holiday-season virus is making the rounds of Outlook Express and Outlook users. It is disguised as an electronic Christmas card coming from someone you've recently e-mailed, and is often named Natividad, Spanish for Christmas. That's because it comes as an e-mail attachment called Navidad.exe. Open it and you get an error message box called UI and a small blue "eye" icon appears in the system tray near the clock. Click on that and you see the Spanish for "Never press this button." Then the virus can run a program that makes it impossible to run applications such as Word and Excel. Then the virus tries to spread itself to other people's computers. You can find instructions on removing it at NSI [http://www.nsi.com].
